Welcome Reception

The welcome reception will take place in the Multi-Activity Center (MAC) from 4:00 - 5:30 PM. President Armstrong will welcome students to this new chapter of their lives and a variety of other speakers will provide important insights, exciting anecdotes, and invaluable tips to parents and students. There will also be time for students to mingle with other students and LAs while enjoying light snacks and refreshments. All of this will be topped off with a live performance by the Cal Poly Jazz Band. Invitations with an RSVP link will be sent out in the week prior to move-in.

SLO Days Orientation

Orientation presentations are geared toward welcoming students and acclimating them to their new home both academically and in terms of their new community. There will be an opitional Parent's orientation, as well.
More details about this day will be added soon.

During the Quarter Plus program students will have the opportunity to participate in various activities that will help them get to know the campus, their fellow students, and the community they are now a part of. Activities are planned and facilitated by teams of Learning Assistants; different teams plan activities for different weekends. Multiple options for events will be provided each weekend to allow students to participate in what interests them.

Examples of past activities include everything from hiking to salsa dancing to movies and more! Activities for this year will be announced at the start of the program. Sign-ups will take place after the program begins and may have limited spots available.
